No. The private invitation opens in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. They can record there or upload a voice note made on their phone. There is no app to install and no password to remember.

The recording page has large, clearly labelled controls, helpful prompts and one decision at a time. There is no need to put the recipe in order first: ingredients, steps and memories can come in any order. If the connection drops, the unfinished recording stays on the device.
No. Culinary Lineage spots what is missing and asks a short question whenever that detail matters to someone trying to cook the recipe.
Your family does. Nobody else can see them, they are never published in a marketplace, and you can export or delete them from the family book settings.
Yes. Your originals stay untouched while Culinary Lineage prepares separate copies for printing in the book. You can also create a new image of the dish from a checked recipe. We will name the outside service and ask for your permission first.
It includes the complete PDF, ready for printing. The physical book is separate, so you can use a trusted local print shop or any online book printer you prefer.
Yes. The Family and Legacy books let three or six family members take part. Everyone receives their own private invitation.
Yes. Once the book reaches its recipe limit, you will not be able to start another recording, but everything already saved will stay safe. Contact us before the recording year ends and we will confirm the extra space and price before changing anything.
The check is optional and included in your purchase. Once the final PDF is ready, the book owner can ask the Culinary Lineage team to check the layout, page breaks, margins and image quality. Your family still checks that the recipes themselves are correct.
The recording period ends, but the purchaser keeps the finished book and PDF. Your family can buy more recording time if you need it.
If nobody has recorded a recipe, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Once recording has begun, we will first help to resolve any technical problem.
The book owner can ask us to delete everything from Settings. We will confirm the request, remove everyone else's access and follow our published retention and recovery periods before permanent deletion.
